Visual Identity

From Sign Painting to Typeface

Founded in the 1960s, Kvickly drew inspiration from the emerging American supermarket culture, where sales signs were often painted by hand.

Archival material from the 1970s revealed traces of these handwritten expressions, forming the foundation for a new custom typeface.

The result is a contemporary interpretation of a familiar retail language, designed for both physical and digital communication.
